Britain’s Most Expensive Houses follows top agents from UK Sotheby’s International Realty as they offer insight on some of the most spectacular properties on the market. Channel 4 picked up on the need to provide a little escapism whilst also acknowledging a world-wide trend as people sought properties with more space in light of the pandemic and the stamp duty holiday. The documentary will air at 8PM on the 28th of December.

Uncertainty: buyers become tenants & sellers become landlords

Despite the doom-and-gloom caused by the uncertainty of our political and economic status, the Lettings market in prime central London remains busy and in demand however is lacking good quality properties. We are in a competitive market whereby Tenants are not necessarily desperate to move and will only wait for the right property; one that meets all their requirements and price range. Therefore, Landlords should recognize this to ensure that they are presenting their property to its best potential and that it is priced correctly.  

We are seeing a rapid growth of high quality new developments being built, such quality now means those that each development provides great amenities such as 24 hours Concierge, Gym, Cinema rooms, and meeting rooms. These new developments are performing well, and will continue to do so if priced correctly.


Advice to Landlords – present and price your property correctly to avoid void periods

Instead, they are looking to rent and vendors who are wanting to sell, but cannot achieve the price they want, have been open to the idea of renting their property. Thus, we have been able to accommodate an increasing number of tenants to find their ideal home, and we have enabled landlords to capitalize on the demand, while maximizing premium rents. 

Overall the best in class will perform well and LET quicker if presented and priced correctly.
