Barbados: The Monaco of the Caribbean

Barbados is the epitome of luxury and glamour and it’s easy to see why it is perennially popular with holidaymakers and an increasing number of ex-pats seeking a slice of the good life. It’s fast becoming what Monaco is to the Europeans: an intriguing and thoroughly enjoyable place to visit time and time again.

This Caribbean jewel has long been a favourite haunt of celebrities and well-heeled Brits who are tempted by the laid back ambiance, year-round balmy climate, palm-fringed beaches and excellent selection of watersports and other outdoor pursuits.

The flight time of 8 hours and 45 minutes is manageable and the time difference of four or five hours means that jet-lag is negligible. It’s perfectly possible to take a morning flight from the UK and be swimming in the crystal-clear Caribbean waters on the same afternoon.
