Belgravia Area Overview

From humble beginnings, Belgravia has developed into one of Central London’s most fashionable districts, with some of the finest shopping, entertainment and dining options in the world, right on its doorstep.

Located between Westminster and Chelsea, upmarket Belgravia is within walking distance of some of London’s biggest and best landmarks and attractions, including Buckingham Palace, the Natural History Museum, Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall. In addition to its excellent restaurants, there is a wide choice of cinemas, theatres, urban spas, department stores and designer boutiques, catering to every taste and whim.

It is also just a short walk along Piccadilly to reach the numerous draw cards of London’s vibrant West End where you find yet more theatres, opera houses, world-famous eateries, elegant bars and nightclubs.

Transport links here are excellent, too. The Piccadilly line offers a straight run into the airport terminals of Heathrow and easy access to other parts of the capital.

It is hard to imaging that this illustrious part of town was once one of London’s most notorious crime hotspots, plagued by highwaymen, murderers and thieves. This all changed in the 19th century, when Thomas Cubitt drained the waterlogged land, ready to begin building properties for the Duke of Westminster. From that point on, Belgravia’s popularity flourished and it remains a hugely desirable place to live.
